SCOTT Experience Tour – Terms & Conditions
1. Organizer & Scope
The SCOTT Experience Tour (hereafter "Tour") is organized by SCOTT Sports SA (hereafter "SCOTT"), with its registered office at Route du Crochet 11, 1762 Givisiez, Switzerland. The Tour takes place at various locations across Europe and offers SCOTT partners and individuals the opportunity to test SCOTT shoes free of charge during scheduled time slots.
These Terms & Conditions (hereafter "T&Cs") govern participation in the Tour. By registering, you (hereafter "Participant") agree to be bound by these T&Cs.
2. Eligibility
Participants must be at least 18 years of age. SCOTT reserves the right to request valid proof of age at check-in.
3. Bookings & Check-in
Each participant must personally sign the Event Waiver before participating in the running experience.
4. Participant Responsibilities
Participants agree to:
Bring and wear their own running equipment and sportswear
Follow instructions from SCOTT staff and guides during the Tour.
Use the SCOTT shoes with due care and return it in the condition it was received.
SCOTT may refuse participation if a Participant lacks mandatory equipment or violates these T&Cs.
5. Liability for Damages
Any accident or damage to the shoes must be reported to SCOTT upon return. Participants are liable for any damage resulting from negligent or intentional misuse and agree to reimburse SCOTT for repair or replacement costs as reasonably determined.
6. ID & Deposit
Before receiving a SCOTT pair of shoes, Participants may be asked to present a valid government-issued ID for verification. SCOTT may record basic information such as name, document number, and date of birth etc.
7. Health, Safety & Insurance
Participants confirm they are physically fit and understand that running involves physical exertion and inherent risk of injury or property damage.
Participation is at the Participant’s own risk. By signing the separate Event Waiver, the Participant acknowledges these risks and agrees to release SCOTT and its affiliates from liability, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. Participants confirm that they are adequately insured against accidents.
8. Consent to the Use of Pictures of Myself
I understand that SCOTT can record my voice take and use pictures (including videos) of myself and/or pictures in which I appear together with other persons during my participation and attendance at the Event and may use the images for specified purposes.
SCOTT shall be allowed to use such pictures for marketing, commercial and non-commercial purposes, e.g. on websites, social media channels and in print media on a worldwide level. I am aware that SCOTT may actively publish the pictures in the coming years and that a large number of persons may see the pictures and recognize me in the pictures.
In this respect, I expressly authorize SCOTT to grant third persons to the Event's partners to use the pictures for advertising and/or commercial purposes.
The permission includes the right to publish the Image on the internet, in its original format, edited, or altered in any way that SCOTT deems appropriate. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the pictures.
SCOTT shall not be allowed to use the pictures for any purposes that do not relate to SCOTT as a company and/or its products. SCOTT shall also not be allowed to use the pictures in an offensive way.
If you wish to object to such publication, you may make a request to SCOTT by email at ione.walker@scott-sports.com, prior to the event and no later than 30 (thirty) days before the event, so that the appropriate measures can be taken.
9. Use of Personal Data
SCOTT will handle all personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Data will be collected for registration, safety, and liability purposes and will not be used for marketing unless explicit consent is provided.
10. Jurisdiction & Governing Law
These T&Cs are governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-law provisions. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berne, Switzerland. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable local law remain unaffected.
11. Modifications
SCOTT reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be made available at the registration point and on the event website.
